Frosted Barq’s® Root Beer — Chick-fil-A

Is the Frosted Barq’s® Root Beer a good deal?

At a typical $4.67, the Frosted Barq’s® Root Beer at Chick-fil-A gives you 320 calories and 7g of protein — 1.5g of protein and 69 calories for every dollar you spend. That earns it a value score of 36/100, which ranks it #18 of the 53 dessert items we've priced across every chain (the typical dessert item returns about 1.5g of protein per dollar).

On the numbers it's an unremarkable value pick in its category. Worth noting, though — it carries a lot of sugar (60g). If you want more for your money in the same category, Twisted Churro at Costco Food Court scores higher (85/100 value, $1.49).
