Privacy Policy
Last updated August 22, 2026. This policy explains what information fries.wtf collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. Plain English, no dark patterns.
The short version
We don’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t collect names, addresses, or payment details to browse the site. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, and Google AdSense to show ads that keep the site free. Both use cookies. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time (see below).
Information we collect
- Usage data — pages viewed, referring site, approximate region, device and browser type, collected in aggregate by Google Analytics to help us improve the site.
- Preferences — your light/dark theme and selected price region are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. They never reach our servers.
- Things you send us — if you email us or submit a price correction or API-key request, we keep what you send (e.g. your email address) only to respond and to run the service.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Cookies and advertising
fries.wtf uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising:
- Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to fries.wtf and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- If you are in the EEA, UK, or a region requiring consent, you will be asked for ad-cookie consent before personalized ads are shown, and Google serves non-personalized ads where required.
- Google Analytics. We use GA4 to measure traffic. You can prevent it with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
How we use information
To operate and improve the site, understand which content is useful, serve advertising, respond to your messages, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
